Art Miller has dedicated his life to serving and protecting communities. With over 40 years of law enforcement experience—more than 20 of those in leadership roles—Art is a proven leader who prioritizes public safety, fiscal responsibility, and the values that matter most to Peoria families.
Since 2018, Art Miller served as Peoria’s Chief of Police, working tirelessly to reduce crime, strengthen community policing, and build lasting partnerships with residents, businesses, and schools. During his tenure, he demonstrated what it takes to keep neighborhoods safe while fostering a strong and vibrant community.
A graduate of the FBI National Academy and the West Point Leadership Program, Art brings unmatched professional expertise and a deep commitment to public service. He and his wife have proudly called Peoria home for the past seven years. Now, Art is ready to bring his proven leadership to the Mayor’s office—so Peoria can continue to thrive.
